Foreword

This is Moby Dick summary. This is my own summarization of Herman Melville’s undying and adventurous American novel, Moby Dick. But this is not merely a summarization of each chapter’s main ideas. Instead, I’m really going to narrate them to you, as if I am also Herman, or in this novel’s case, like Ishmael. He is the main character of this novel and one of Captain Ahab’s crew of his ship. This novel is considered as one of the most important American novels of its time. Ishmael’s narrative of man against mammal is symbolic, philosophical, and compelling to the very end. So it is important to read at least the Moby Dick summary.
